Today, I met with the Montgomery Housing Authority to brainstorm how we can expand our work together. What a blessing this partnership is! For nearly nineteen years we have worked with the Housing Authority to bring hope and make a difference in the lives of the residents of Montgomery’s housing communities. Our “in the community approach” fits perfectly into the new direction of the Housing Authority.  This year marks the

beginning of a new era of Compassion21 as God has allowed us to successfully move all of our Learning Centers into the Housing Communities we serve. What a blessing it has been to witness the area churches work together in this endeavor.  God honored our faith and commitment to expand His Kingdom and now He has given us an even greater opportunity. The Housing Authority has asked us to establish a Learning Center in Cleveland Court as well as introduce our Food Co-ops into all of the housing communities. They also offered to assist us in expanding our summer program in the communities and wish to explore ways to take advantage of our computer lab. This is a tremendous opportunity to show the Compassion of Christ, bring hope to the hopeless and to share the Good News of our Lord and Savior. I know that where the vision of God is leading the provision of God is already there. I can’t wait to see how God shows up and shows out again!
